Ski mountaineering in the Lungau ski resorts
every Monday from 5 pm to 8.45 pm in the ski resort Katschberg Aineck from St. Margarethen valley station to the Branntweinenhütte
every Wednesday from 5 pm to 8.30 pm in the ski area Großeck Speiereck from Skizentrum Mauterndorf
every Friday from 5 pm until 8.30 pm in the Großeck Sepeiereck ski area from the valley station “Sonnenbahn”
Beside these times there is a general prohibition in all ski resort on all ski slopes.
The area Katschberg/Rennweg boasts approximately 30 kilometer of winter hiking trails. If you are looking for an alternative to skiing or just want to enjoy the fantastic winter landscape at a slower pace.
Katschberg Winter Hiking Trail
From Landal via hiking trail 17: very sunny and windless; beautiful view towards Carinthia and the slopes of the Gamskogel lift. No car traffic, no crossing any slopes.
Please note: no circular route, no opportunity to stop off for refreshments, not suitable for prams.
